Logo design and brand identity guidelines

It is always a fun challenge to redesign a logo in a way that honors the past but clearly moves it forward to a new vision. The old logo was overly complicated and it needed to cleaned up so it could be more recognizable. But they didn’t want to lose too much of the brand recognition that they had built over more than a decade. It was also a unique sub brand at a university so there was also a need to add more consistency even though CJP has a unique audience. We did this by using the same font as the universities brand but maintaining CJPs established green color.

The new brand identity was then implemented across all media. I designed this website concept and worked with the web team to bring it to life. emu.edu/cjp
